Daughter's Birthday Card

I finished my daughter's birthday card last night.  She lives next door so I will walk it over later today.

The first time I saw Tilda playing in the leaves, I knew it would be my daughter's birthday card!

I used SU Autumn Traditions designer paper, Always Artichoke and unknown reddish-orange from my stash. The flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts and Magnolia. A piece of sheer pale green ribbon is tied with raffia, both from the stash.  I punched the jack-o-lanterns with a MS embossing punch and the maple leaves from DCWV Shimmer stack.  The oak leaves are another MS punch.
The tag is Shapebilities Fancy Tags. Sentiment from SU.

I had a lot of fun making this card!

October Mingle Card & New Kitty Update

Karen Petersen don't look if you want to be surprised!

We took our new kitty for her first vet appointment today. She has been named Abby, weighed 6.2 pounds, got her first "baby shots" and has all her adult teeth - so she is 5 to 5 1/2 months old - a little older than we thought.  In a month she goes back for her booster shots and to be spayed.  She doesn't like the kitty carrier at all and sang her displeasure all the way over and all the way back home. Then she started clawing at the air holes in the carrier.  Good thing we put a cardboard box over the door end or she would have been out of it.  All that to say she is in very good health and will probably a small kitty according to the vet.

I got my October Mingle card mailed out!! Yippee!
Another easel card - just love them! Creating a scene is so easy with the extra space on the bottom.

I used Fall Sitting Tilda and Apple Basket and made them to stand up.  The Doo Hickey Vintage Tag is on pop dots.
Background paper is from Debbie Mumm Harvest and Holiday stack and is pre-glittered.
I put orange Robin's Nest Dew Drops over several of the small pumpkin images giving them a funny face!
Several leaves punched from glimmer paper have fallen all over the "ground" where Tilda is sitting.
The ribbon was Michael's or AC Moore.
The sunflower from my stash.

I didn't keep track of the Copics I used for coloring.

Thanks so much for stopping by and leaving a quick comment.

Birthday cards gone postal!

I have been so busy getting all the fall canning and freezing done that I haven't posted the BRAK cards I've sent out.  So -- here they are--
The first one went to Sylvia Lokhoff.  I know she received hers by the Thank You she posted!

I really like the Sweet Tilda stamp.
Copics used were
Dress - G09, 05, 03, 00
Shoes - E00, 0000, 43, Crystal Effects
Hair - Y11, 21, E97, 99

The flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts. The beads are Prima Say It With Pearls.
The dp are My Mind's Eye Wild Asparagus.  The wide lace from my stash.  I really love the way this card turned out!

This one is for Gayna Hurst!

I used another Kleenex box for the beautiful rose and swirls background.
I colored New Year Tilda quite a while ago and have no idea what purple Copics I used.
The flowers are Wild Orchid Crafts.
The ribbon behind the flowers is from Wal Mart.
The sentiment panel is cut using Spellbinders Shapeabilities Fancy Tags.  The rhinestone flowers are from Michaels.

Here's another Kleenex box background for Vicki Parson.

Flower Girl Tilda was colored with Copics, of course!
Dress, socks, lace - B26, 24, 21, blender pen
Shoes - E40, 42, 44, Crystal Effects
Hair - E35, 31, YR20
Flowers - YG67, 63, B39, 37, 34 and Sweet Pea and Shamrock Green Flower Soft
Wings - Star Dust Stickles

Flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts & Magnolia; ribbon from Wal Mart; Diamond Stickles are on the swirls; Wheat chandelier beads from AC Moore; Leaves punched with MS Branch punch.

These two cards used the same Kleenex box design in different colors and made two very different cards.

Then as the weather turned much colder in our area, I got into a very fallish mood.  Sharon Lemon's card reflects that mood perfectly.
What better way to celebrate fall than with A-P-P-L-E-S!

Apple Pie Tilda is perfect for this card! She has her basket of fresh picked apples just waiting for Apple Crisp or maybe Applesauce or perhaps another Apple Pie! YUM YUM!!
The cute little hearthside kitty stands up. Can't you just hear him/her purring!?!

The perfect apple background paper is from my stash.
Tilda's Table is dressed in a paper pieced tablecloth with two rose bud stems waiting for a vase.
The table is colored with E39, 37, 34, 33, R000 (lace)
Apple basket - E29, 25, 55, R24, 22, 20, YG00, 03, E37, G09.
Kitty is resting on a 3-layer rug cut with Nesties.  Kitty's colors are E37, 35, YR14, 12
Apple pie - C4, 5, E50, 31, 34, 35
Tilda's outfit - R17, 14, BG10, R00, 01, 17, E44, Crystal Effects on shoes; her wings are Star Dust Stickles.
Her hair is E49, 59, 25, 53.  There! I think I got all the colors.  My work space was covered with Copics when I finished coloring these little gals!
The flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts and Magnolia.

I hope you all have enjoyed seeing the latest cards and will stop back often.  I promise there will be many more coming up!

Happy Birthday, Debi

My friend and Stampin' Up! demo, Debi's birthday was the end of August.  She was away for a couple Sundays and I didn't get her card done on time.  She received it very late, but loved it anyway!

I had decided to do an easel card, but did not want the front to be part of the easel display.  I glued the dp background only at the top and bottom edges so it would bend more easily when the card was opened.  The flowers had to be placed so they would bend with the dp.

Tilda was colored with Copics -
Apron - BG13, 11, 10; Blouse - R11, 12; Shoes - E43, 44, Crystal Effects; Flowers from Wild Orchid Crafts; Cardstock is SU Soft Sky and Blue Bayou; Tag was cut using Magnolia Tag die cut

Here the card is opened showing Tilda in her kitchen. Sure looks warm and cozy!
Stove - C7, 5, 3, 2; Tea kettle - B39, 37, 34, N1; Oven mitt - B37, 34, 32; Shelf and accesories- E29, 25, 53, YR02, 00, B0000, R08, E0000, B97, 95, 91; Kitty - Y26, 23, 21, E25, YR01; The tablecloth was paper pieced. Lace B0000; Table - E29, 25, 53; Tilda - Dress/pinafore - Y26, 23, 32, E97, 95, 93; Shoes - E71, 74, 79, silver glitter pen. The cake and muffins were cut from dp. The cake was covered with Crystal Effects and Pearl Pen White drops. The spatula was from Magnolia charms - Yummy for Your Tummy

Here is a side view showing the 3-D images.
I used very stiff clear plastic strips to make the images stand up. You do have to bend them up after opening the card.  I couldn't figure out how to make them pop up on their own.
The shelf and stove are on dimensionals.
The rug is 3 layers of cs cut with my Nesties petite scalloped ovals.

Thanks for stopping by and sharing Debi's card!  Have a blessed day.

Our New Kitty!

Here is our new kitty!

She doesn't have a name yet.  We've been calling her little kits or squeaker.  She makes a squeaking sound instead of meow when we go in the garage to see her.

She is one very strangely colored baby!  That is light colored fur along the side of her nose and the white spot beneath her nose.

We had her for 5 days before she came out of hiding in the garage so we could see her.

But now, she is a little sweetie and loves to be held and petted.  She purrs so loud for such a tiny thing.

She's about 11 weeks old and weighs between 5 and 6 pounds.

Sure glad you stopped by for a minute to see our new little lady!

Huggeroonies,

Anniversary Card for a Friend

My friend Carol asked me to make a special anniversary card for her to give her husband on their 48th anniversary!  WOW!! 48 years!  Blessings to both of them.

What could be more perfect than Tilda and Edwin as a Loving Couple?

The flowers, leaves and chandelier beads are from Wild Orchid Crafts and Magnolia.  Cardstock is from SU - Shimmery White and Pretty in Pink.

Of course they are colored with Copics.
Tilda's dress & shoes: B0000, BG10
Roses: R89,85, 83, YG97, 95
Edwin's suit: C5, 4, 2, 0

Sentiment is SU and stamped in Pretty in Pink

I saw this sentiment on another card "somewhere" and wrote it down so I would remember it.

It was just perfect for Carol's card and she loved it!

Thanks for stopping by and saying Hi.  Hope you enjoyed the card!

Huggeroonies,

August Mingle Cards

I received the most gorgeous August Mingle card from JodyBlaufus.  I just love it!!

The pinks are so vibrant and summery looking.
The swirls, pearls, tiny roses and punched bottom edge are perfect touches.  Tilda is colored so beautifully.

The jotting panel has die cut hearts around it and more of those gorgeous swirls and tiny pink roses. What a great touch the ribbon lace across the bottom is!

Here is the card opened and standing - just beautiful.

I love it Jody!!

Thank you so much for taking the time to make such a gorgeous, sweet card for me.

Here is the August Mingle I sent to Line Cinq-Mars.  It's safe to post it now as I got her thank you!

I used several Maggies - Spring Tree, Little Birds, Picnic Tilda, Butterfly, and Summer Background.

This was so fun to color.  Tilda's quilt was cut from a pice of dp that had several different quilt-like designs on it.

The cupcake, watermelon, honey bees and ladybugs are stickers.

Edwin looks as if he is tired of waiting for Tilda to show up!  He may just eat his picnic without her.

Do you suppose they got their signals crossed and one of them is at the wrong picnic spot?!?

Here is the inside upper panel with a jotting area outlined.  The dp is from SU Welcome Neighbor pad.  The butterflies, bee and ladybug are more stickers.  All the bees are puffy stickers.

Hope you enjoyed seeing the cards. Thanks for stopping by and saying "Hi".
