May Mingle Cards

Here is the beautiful May Mingle card I received from Peggie Wilkins!

Tilda has glitter on the lace on her dress and hair bows. Her shoes are shiny with crystal lacquer.

The little flowers on the grass are real embroidery floss French knots! What a unique touch!

I just love this card!

Thank you so much Peggie :-)

Flowers was the May theme. How did I do?

The background is the Magnolia Butterfly background with 2 bunches of Lazy Summer Flowers behind the fence - the MS Garden Trellis punch.
Tilda has purple Stickles on her headband. Her bouquet has tiny lavendar rose buds from Wild Orchid Crafts. The additional roses are also WOC. The leaves are MS Branch and Rose Leaf punches.

The fence and Tilda are popped up on dimensionals.

Inside is a sentiment panel die cut using my Nesties Labels Four largest die and inked with SU Lavendar Lace.

Another Lazy Summer Flowers patch with a tiny butterfly completes the inside.

AND - TA DA - here are the Copic markers I used for the coloring! I remembered to keep them out this time!!
Thanks for stopping by!

Huggeroonies,

In Memory of Our Kitties

The past year has been very sad for us. Two of our kitties developed different cancers and had to be put down.

Slippers is on the left and Sneakers on the right. They were so much fun to watch. One minute they would be batting and hissing at each other and a short time later they would be cuddled up together in their chair. They look like twins even though Slippers was several years older than Sneakers.

Slippers had no visible outward signs of any problems, but a tumor had compressed her lungs and she really went downhill fast from that. In July, 2009 we sent her to Kitty Heaven.

This picture was taken just 2 days before Sneakers left us. He's hiding in the Yucca plants in my flower bed.

We had been treating him for a skin infection that just didn't clear up. Early April, 2010 he said "Enough!" and quit eating and drinking.

So now he and Slippers are together again. He had been my husband's consent garage companion since January, 2003. My DH really misses Sneakers as he would jump up on the work bench and stick his nose into everything DH was working on.

We still have Mee-Ow, our indoor kitty and Daisy Too, our second dog. Thanks for looking.

Blessings and Huggeroonies,

Feel Better Soon!

I made this card for my daughter while she was in the hospital recovering from surgery.

She introduced me to Tilda a couple years ago when Diana was just beginning the Magnolia-licious online store.

I am in awe of the many fabulous ways Magnolia cards have been created by the Magnolia-licious Yahoo Group members. So I have been printing out tutorials and trying several variations. This one is an easel card.

The Magnolia stamps I used are the Floral Background, Open Gate and Tilda with Flowing Hair.

Flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts, leaves punched with MS Oak Leaf punch. The white border is the MS Doily Lace Trim punch.

Everything was colored with Copic markers. I sure do love my Copics.

Here's the card opened. Sorry for the poor picture quality :-(

The sentiment background used SU 6x6 Design Pack paper from a couple years ago.

The sentiment panel was trimmed with MS Floral Lace punch.
Two clear Dew Drops hold the front panel in place when open.

Thanks for stopping by.

Blessings and Huggeroonies,

Happy Birthday Roxy!

My friend and stamping buddy, Roxy, had a birthday on May 2. I think she was 29 - she wouldn't confirm or deny!

She loves Tildas. The best thing about her birthday - she got some Copic markers!!!!! Here are pics of the card I made for her.

The DP was from DCWV Sweet Glitter Stack - most of the papers in that stack are birthday related - very pretty stack.

The flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts and Magnolia-licious. Leaves are the MS Branch and rose leaf punches. The doily was from Wal-Mart cake decorating section. The blue felt rick-rack was from the stash.
I put Stickles on the tag ribbons and on the lace at the dress hem.

The sentiment is from an online site I can't remember. I printed it on Pretty in Pink cs and hand wrote "more Copics" in the sentiment.

I cut/embossed the oval using my Nesties.

More DP from the Sweet stack. Tilda is standing in her Kitchen eating her birthday Cowberry Muffin!

Roxy loved her card and I loved making it for her.

I have been negligent in keeping a list of the Copics I used for coloring - I'll try to do better in the future.

I hope you have enjoyed your visit to my blog. Thanks for looking!

Desk Caddy

The middle of April, just after tax season ended, the front end receptionist in our office left for another job. She will be extremely missed. She was such a fun, happy person to work with.

As a going away gift for her, I made her a Tilda desk caddy.

Here are two views of the top of the caddy. I used SU Tea Party DP and Walk in the Park DP for the printed panels. The base cardstock is So Saffron.

Here are the side views showing the Tilda stamps I used.
Dinner Tilda in green; Tilda with Letter in pink; Noble Tilda in blue; Jam Tilda in yellow

Here are close ups of the Tildas.

Dinner Tilda has white gel pen dots for her pearls. Noble Tilda has Shimmerz Pixie Dust on her pinafore.
The girls are sitting on ovals cut with my Nesties. I put a Classic Oval inside the Scalloped Oval to get the "ring" cut out.

This caddy was very easy and lots of fun to make ! It took me longer to decide which Tildas to use than actually making the caddy!

Thanks for stopping by and I hope you enjoyed this project.

Huggeroonies and lots of blessings,
