Happy Birthday, Diana!

I can now post Diana Crick's birthday card!  She must have been overwhelmed with cards from all of us.  At least, I hope so!
Happy Birthday, Diana!
Here are the pictures of my card to her:

I used Romantic Tilda colored with my Copics.

The flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts,
ribbon from WalMart and the Chandelier beads from Diana's Magnolious store, Stickles from my stash.
The dp is from my stash.

Copics used were V17, 15, 12, 000 for her clothes and umbrella.
 Her shoes were E74, 71.
Skin tones were E11, 00, 000, R20.
The lacy edges were trimmed in Stickles.

The designer papers are probably Stampin Up!, but I'm really not sure.
I need to be more diligent in writing down what I use in my cards and especially the Copic colors I use.

The inside of her card looks like this.  I cut the jotting panel with my Nesties and inked the edges.

I hope you enjoyed seeing Tilda in her finery.  Thanks for stopping by.

Anna's Birthday and Anniversary Cards

One of my co-workers - Dennis - is just a fantastic young man.  He is our resident computer guru!  And let me tell you, he has saved me from myself on the computer more times than I want to count.  He always is intrigued by the cards I make and take in to show the girls and him.  So I volunteered to make a birthday card and anniversary card for his wife.

I forgot to take a picture of Anna's card before I delivered it.  It was similar to this except it had all white flowers.

Because of all the flowers, the card didn't fit in an envelope, so I decorated a box for it.

This is the top.  The shiny designer paper made it difficult to get a good picture without a lot of glare.

The paper is from the DCWV Luxury Stack.  The flowers are Wild Orchid Crafts.  I just love their flowers!  The ribbons are from WalMart.

I used a wide braided lace I had in my stash to decorate the sides.  You can also see the narrow blue lace I put around the top edges to help hide the gap between the box top and edges.

Here's a close up of the floral arrangement and ribbons.

I really appreciate you taking time to stopping by and having a looking!

Huggeroonies,

Wedding Cards!

Have you ever noticed how things and events just sort of sneak up on you?  I knew I had three wedding cards to make about three months ago.  One is about 6 weeks late, one was for this weekend and one for a September wedding.  Drum roll please!  Here they are --

I tried to match the flower colors to the brides' bouquets.

This one is for John and Dee at my church.

This one is for one of our "Lunch Bunch" girls at Freedom Village.  Amanda M is getting married in Canada on August 28.

This card is for my friend Sandy's granddaughter's wedding.  She didn't know the color of the bouquet flowers, so I went with the shades of pink and blue.  I'm sure Sandy and her granddaughter will like the card!

The layout for this card was found on Split Coast Stampers gallery, but I failed to write down the creator's name.

I colored the bride with Copics and added Diamond Stickles to the veil, Shimmerz Pixie Dust to the dress and Stickles in Candy Cane red and Cotton Candy pink to the flowers.

The inside all had the same sentiments.

I really loved making these cards and sincerely hope the brides enjoy them.

I really enjoy reading your comments.  Thanks for stopping by and taking a look.

Have a blessed week!

Beautiful Blog Award

Rene Comstock has awarded me with the Cherry On Top Award for having a beautiful blog!  Thank you, Rene, for thinking of my blog for this award.
I have met so many new friends since joining the Magnolia-licious Yahoo Group.  Every blog I visit is an inspiration to me.  You ladies just blow me away with the awesome cards you create.
As part of accepting this award, I have to do the following:
1.  Thank the person who bestowed the award on me.  Thank you again, Rene! Visit her blog at http://cardsbyrbowen.blogspot.com/
2.  Copy the award to my blog, which I have done.
3.  List three things I love about myself.  I had to spend some time thinking about this requirement.  So here goes - I love being an encourager and trying to help others.  I love being able to share things I've learned and to share the abundant material blessings that God has blessed me with.  I love learning and trying new things like taking the Color Me Creative Copic Classes.  Wow - have I ever learned a lot with those classes.

4.  Publish a picture that I love.  I don't have a digital picture of my kids, so I have chosen a picture of our kitties when they were healthy and still with us.  They are waiting for us at Rainbow Bridge.

5.  Finally pass the award on to five others.  So here you go -
      Cami Mayeda - http://www.captureaheart-cami.blogspot.com/
      Peggie Wilkins - http://stampingwithpeggie.blogspot.com/
      Pat Frank - http://cards2cherish.blogspot.com/
      Regina Riberio - http://regina-riberio.blogspot.com/
      Maureen Kuppe - http://www.seaofcreativechaos.com/

Ladies would you kindly stop by my blog and pick up your award!?

I had a very difficult time choosing only five.  I really appreciate everyone who visits my blog and who post pictures of their cards for me to look at and drool over.  You all are just the best!  Thank you all for being such wonderful cyber friends.

Blessings in abundance and huggeroonies without number,

More birthday cards!

I've been really busy making birthday cards!  The three featured in this blog went to members of the Magnolia-licious Yahoo Group from me personally not as a BRAK.  The friends who received these cards are Chris Sather, Pat Frank and our lovely Diana Crick!  I hope you all enjoy them!

Tilda with Rose is very easy to color with all the large areas in her dress.

Tilda looks very Noble in her chocolate outfit and glittery gloves.

Romantic Tilda in lavendar could be a real heartbreaker for Edwin any time.
When I do the inside of the cards, I try to put in a label so there is a nice message area for a handwritten greeting from the sender.
Have a great weekend and thanks so much for taking time to stop by.

BRAK Cards Gone Postal!

Here are the pictures of two July BRAK cards that went out very late.  I sincerely apologize to you Shelly and Diane and hope that you had very enjoyable birthdays.
Tilda with Cowberry Muffin.
New Year Tilda in yellow.

I worked very hard to get my August cards done on time, but two of them were still late:(
I sure hope Chris doesn't throw me off the BRAK team :(

I worked very hard to get my August cards done on time, but two of them were still late:(

I sure hope Chris doesn't throw me off the BRAK team :(
So here are pictures of those cards.

Loving Tilda is one of my many favorites of the Maggies!  Really - I guess they all are.

This is the reverse of one I did earlier using a Kleenex tissue box. Really couldn't let the other side of the box go to waste!

Now when I shop for tissues, I check out the Kleenex boxes.  How bad is that when I buy tissues by the design on the box?

Romantic Tilda looks very sweet in her new dress and parasol. After I did the flowers, the card still needed "something". I really think the bead design adds a lot to this card

Sorry that this picture is blurry.

Loving Tilda was also used on another card last month.  This layout was just so easy to create.

These three cards went to Joan, Tanya and Lisette.  I was going to put the names by each card, but - Swiss cheese brain got the names mixed up on her list.

I didn't keep track of the Copics I used either.  When I start my coloring, I usually have several images that I color all at the same time and I have markers all over my table.

Thanks for making my day and taking time to stop by!

Best Rider Award!

My husband drives a handicapped girl to school in Rochester every day.  Abby made Ken a kitty card to thank him for driving her.  She did the printing with spelling help.

Her favorite nickname for everyone is Chicken Nugget!  Ken calls her Monkey.

Because Abby is such a good rider and really behaves herself during the 40 minutes or so ride, Ken asked me to make her a card.  We came up with a van with Abby, Chicken Nugget and Monkey in the seats and Ken driving.  (He really doesn't look quite like that).  He does wear a cap with an American flag on the front and he does have a mustache.  Hhhhhmmmm!!  That driver does look a little like Ralph Kramden!

Inside her card was the "Best Rider Award".  She was so excited she had to show her dad and went back into her house to show mom before she could leave for school!

Ken was told she wore her ribbon all day at school.

Amazing how something so little can be so important to a special little girl!

I'm glad you could take a couple minutes from your day to stop by and have a look.

Huggeroonies,

Guitar Edwin Thank You cards

Here are some of the Edwin thank you cards I made for the ladies at Odosagih Bible Conference Boosters to use when sending out ty's to folks who have provided the music at the Conference during the summer.

I tried to make a variety of different backgrounds and colors for Edwin's clothing.

At the same time I was practicing my newly learned Copic coloring combos and techniques.  Thank you Suzanne Dean for such excellent instructional videos.
The inside of all the cards was the same with a blank panel for the ladies to hand write a personal note to the musicians.
Thanks for stopping by.  I really enjoy reading your encouraging comments.

July Mingles cards

I received the cutest Mingle card from Karen Petersen last week.  It is Tilda holding a lamb. Here is a picture of it.  The butterflies are 2 layers with a heart for the bodies.  Designer paper was punched so it looks like flowers.  Very clever!!  I really like your card.  Thank you so much, Karen.
My Mingle went to Marcia Duncan for July.  I put Dreamy Tilda relaxing on the beach with a Romantic Sunset in the background.  She's watching some butterflies play.
The inside has more butterflies flitting around and the Tree with Heart has butterfly flowers all over it!
Thanks for stopping by!
