Riley on Blue Ridge Parkway

Riley and Sophia are continuing their driving vacation through the Blue Ridge Mountains.
Finally - Sophie came up with an idea Riley really likes!

Riley gets frustrated very easily with the way people talk - drive on the parkway - park on the drive way
Blue Ridge mountains are gray and green not blue

They do seem to be having a good time.

Don't think anybody would take a camper that color!

Sure would be easy for the police to spot it :)

All of these little pictures are from the real Blue Ridge Parkway website.

Sophie's bikini is covered with Gold Ice Stickles.  What more could a girl want - a gold bikini!?!

This is a picture of the LAST chemo infusion being administered to Nate.

Riley doesn't know about things like that, so he thinks this might be some of the moosesions that Nate went to Nicaragua to see on his missions trip June 10 - 19, 2010.

The green words say "When I first saw this on Snoutbook, it about scared the nuggets out of me!"

I tried to use crazy looking fonts to add to a scary emphasis to this pic!

Riley and Sophie even found some of their herd grazing on some lush greens in the Blue Ridge Mountains!

Riley's day comes to an end - time to move on to the next stop on their driving vacation!

See you soon!

Thanks for stopping by and sharing another Riley and Sophie adventure.

Singing Tilda Thank You cards

The Odosagih Ladies Boosters President and Secretary asked me if I would be able to make them some thank you cards with a musical theme to send to the musicians providing music for the summer meetings and the ladies spring and fall retreats.
I used so many different Copics on these cards that I can't even begin to list all of them - sorry!
I added Diamond Dust Stickles to the dresses and used a Viva Pearl Pen Ice White for the earrings and necklaces.  I'm a little disappointed in the final appearance of the pearls though.  Perhaps it's just lack of practice.

I have finished my first Color Me Creative Copic Classes.  I can really see major improvement in my coloring, especially on the dresses!  I am very pleased.

The designer papers are from Stampin Up DP packs and My Mind's Eye Wild Asparagus paper pack.  Some of the Wild Asparagus designs are really out of my comfort zone so using them has been a challenge,
but I have been very pleased with the finished cards.
This is how I did the inside of each card.  The papers coordinated with the front and all had an oval for a handwritten thank you message.  The edges of some of the ovals were inked for a bit more contrast.

Thanks so much for taking time out of your busy day to stop by and see my cards!

Blessings and Huggeroonies,

Happy Birthday, Jean!

My co-worker Jean and I share the same birthday.  I made her this really cute Tilda with Rose easel card using a Kleenex box for the background.  The card looks more fallish than summer with the colors, but she didn't mind at all!

I added some Stickles Diamond Dust to swirls printed on the box.  Tilda was colored with the following Copics:
Hair: E99,97 Y21, 11
Clothes: E19, 17, 13,11
Face: E000, 00, 11, R20
Rose: E04, RV11, 10, G94
Highlights: Sakura Clear Star pen
The flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts, ribbon from my stash.

 Here is her card opened.

I made the arrangement on the inside of the card using Wild Orchid Crafts flowers, leaves punched with a MS Branch punch and wheat stems from ACMoore or Michaels.

Here is a close up of the greeting and the flower arrangement.

Thanks so much for stopping by.
Please leave a comment so I'll know you were here!

Blessings on your day!Huggeroonies,

Riley & Sophie on Vacation

Here is the latest in my Riley the Moose cards for my nephew Nate.  This isn't one of my cuter Riley cards, but it will have to do for now.
Riley likes to keep in touch with his famoosely on his Snoutbook page.

Sophie is always pestering Riley to let her use his computer so she can keep up with her Snoutbook page.

These were really the worst colors I could think of for a van and camper.

Being such horrible colors helped Riley to afford the van and camper.  Just think how long it would take a moose to produce 1000 nuggets!
Riley always rides off into the sunset on his red tractor.  Nate also has a red tractor he rides around their property and across the field to their neighbors Fred and Pam's house.
Thanks for stopping by. I hope you enjoy Riley as much as I enjoy creating cards for his adventures.

Kitchen Caddy - Singing Tilda

Our worship leader has accepted a position of full time music minister at another church beginning July 1.  She has been a very good friend over the years she and her family have been at our church.

As a going away gift I made her a Kitchen Caddy featuring 4 Tildas with a food related theme. Here is a picture of the caddy with a few simple filler items in it.
This is the card I made for her using Singing Tilda.  I just received this stamp from Diana at Magnolia-licious store.                                                          Tilda is colored with my Copic markers and her gown is highlighted with Star Dust Stickles.  The flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts.  Background papers are from Stampin Up and punched with an MS border punch.
Thanks for taking time to stop by and visit.

Patriotic Tilda & Edwin

In honor of July 4th, Edwin and Tilda are showing their colors!

The background papers are from Gina K digital papers Father's Day Red.  The ovals were cut using my Cuttlebug and Petite Scalloped Ovals.  The flags were stickers purchased at AC Moore.

I used the brightest red and blue from my Copic markers that I could.

I hope you are having a very relaxing and fun long weekend!
Blessings and Huggeroonies,
