Inventory Reduction Challenge #84 - Masking

Good morning Maggie lovers!!
Yesterday afternoon I had my card for this week's challenge all finished except for the final finishing touches.  BUT -- it wasn't going anywhere and was pretty blah.  Ever been there??  So at dinner time last night the decision was made - use the image panel and do a completely new card.

I will warn you in advance!!!  This card is wild and so far out of my comfort zone - but now that it's done, I really like it!!

The designer papers are from Basic Grey Lime Rickey.  I've had that pad for several years and had not used even one sheet of it.  But now --- !!

I used the new stamps from Summer Memories.  They are just the cutest!  I stamped Flip Flop Tilda first setting up the scene.  Then I stamped the grill.  After masking both of those images, I stamped the Log and Burger Tilda.
I used FY1 florescent yellow for Flip Flop's top.   The image was colored with Copic Sketch markers.

Then came choosing the papers.  Fun :D  I used a lime green to mount the image panel and a wild paper with lots of lime green in the patterns for the background.  The ribbon and lady bugs are from my stash.  The flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts.  I don't know what possessed me to buy that lime green ribbon, but was glad I had it as it matches perfectly.

The inside papers are as wild as the front.  Both are from the Lime Rickey pad.  The butterflies and lady bug started life as buttons.  I came across a shank remover tool at JoAnn's several years ago and used it to remove the shanks from the buttons.  I had to put a glue dot on the lady bug to keep her together!!  The heart charm is from Charm Barn. The blue scalloped paper is also from the Lime Rickey pad.  The flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts.

You can remove your sunglasses now!  Thank you so much for stopping by.  Please leave a comment to let me know how you like my "wild child".

Be sure to take a few minutes to stop by my teammates' blogs to see their creations.

I think you card looks great, and the paper choice was very fitting for the theme of the card. Lime Rickey is hard to work with, but you did an excellent job!
