New summer card on blog!

Hello to all you wonderful Maggie lovers out there in blog land!  Today I have a card for the Magnolia-licious Highlites challenge with "water" as the theme.  What is more summery than swimming or watching a boating event?

Tilda and Edwin are drying off after a refreshing swim at the local beach. They are watching the end of a sailing event followed by a giant fireworks display.

I covered the background with Sparkly Chunky glitter glue.  Even though the chunks are snowflakes, they look like lots and lots of stars.
The fireworks were made with Stickles applied over the printed bursts.
The water doesn't show very well, but boats need water to sail.
The sand is Ultra Fine Flower Soft in Earth color.
The tiny shells and starfish are buttons from which I removed the shanks.
The designer paper is from Webster's Pages Yacht Club.
The patriotic ribbon is from my stash.

What could possibly be more fun than watching the fireworks as America celebrates our independence?!
Thank you for stopping by and celebrating with me!!

I love your different ideas for the element details. The sand. The FIREWORKS. They look like they are in awe with the display. I know I am!
