A Scene at the County Fair

Today I'm presenting a card depicting a possible scene at the County Fair.  It is Fall after all and many places have fairs late in the season when the produce is being brought in from the fields and backyard gardens.  This fits perfectly with Tilda's Town Challenge Anything Fall here.

All Tilda's friends are bringing their best produce to the judges' stand in the hopes of winning the coveted blue ribbon for the best of the best.

Apple Tilda in the back by the stand is hoping her basket of apples will catch the judges' eyes.

Tilda With Lovely Jam is looking to win for best home made applesauce.  Looks very yummy to me! Will standing behind the Judges' Table give her an edge?

Tilda With Apple Pie looks like a sure winner with her perfect lattice crust on her pie.

Tilda With Corn is having a difficult time lifting her bucket of corn it's so heavy.  Is that a good sign of great corn?

Tilda With Carrots apparently forgot to take the beets out of her basket before going to the Judges' Table.  I hope that doesn't give her any demerits.

As you can see from the Fall Background, it is a very windy day!  The County Fair banner was cut using Magnolia's Kitchen Banner, which was cut twice and glued around a toothpick.  The words were computer generated.

The background "Judges' Stand" is Alota's Stand stamp.  I paper pieced the stand from some white wood grain paper I had in the stash.  The Judges' Table was also paper pieced from some dark wood grain paper and placed over the Stand with thick dimensionals so I had room to put a Tilda image behind it.

The hay bale was made from 4 images of the Magnolia Haybale, colored, then held together with a strip inside to give a 3-dimensional piece.

The Tildas along the Stand were mounted on Dimensionals to make them stand out from the background just a bit.

The two Tildas in front are held upright with heavy clear plastic strips glued to the back of their legs.

The "fall leaves" on the ground are Flower Soft Autumn and are glued at places where I thought blowing leaves might accumulate.

The Magnolia sentiment panel was cut using Nestabilities Labels Seventeen and stamped with the Magnolia stamp "Fall Is In The Air".

And I have it on good authority that each Tilda won the Blue Ribbon in her entry category!

I hope our trip to the County Fair brought back wonderful memories of your days at the County Fair.
I will enter this card in the Tilda's Town Challenge #121 Anything Fall here.

Thanks for stopping by!
